Nature
La Balade du pêcheur is a very easy 4-kilometre circular route that starts in front of Camping Huttopia de Vallouise. On the outward journey, it follows a path along the Gyr; on the return journey, it takes a balcony path running above the mountain stream. The L’Onde et Le Villard route follows the left bank of the L’Onde river to the Pont des Places bridge.
Tête d'Amont is located in the immediate vicinity of Vallouise. The area around Vallouise also includes Cime de la Condamine, Pointe du Rascrouset, Pointe de Celse Nière and Écrins National Park.
Culture
The Church of Saint-Étienne in Vallouise is protected as a historic monument. Its bell tower is 45 metres high, and the church contains a gilded wooden altar dating from the mid-16th century. The Maison du Parc national has been awarded the “Tourisme et Handicap” label.
Fort Queyras and Saint-Michel are located in the wider regional surroundings of Vallouise.
