The Camí de Llívia – Gorguja (PR® 19) begins at the church square in Saillagouse. The Via Romana starts at the petrol station opposite Place de Cerdagne.
This route leads to a menhir and a megalithic bridge. Optionally, you can continue to the Pascarets and Lou Pou dolmens.
Culture
The Église Sainte Eugénie de Saillagouse is mentioned in the deed of consecration of Urgell Cathedral from the year 839. The southern part of the present-day church belongs to the Romanesque architectural style of the 12th and 13th centuries.
In the church of Saillagouse, the ensemble consisting of the rosary altarpiece, statues, altar and altar steps has been protected as a historic monument, as a movable object, since 15 February 2000. The Retable du Christ in the Église Sainte Eugénie de Saillagouse is listed as a Monument historique and dates from the third quarter of the 18th century.
The Musée de la charcuterie cerdane has been located since 1996 at the exit of Saillagouse on the road to Estavar. It features a natural drying room with more than 1,500 hanging hams. The museum also has an exhibition and video room that explains the craft of the charcutiers and its development.
