Malbuisson: Hotels and Accommodation

The 6 km-long “En revenant par le fort” route is a hiking trail in summer and a marked snowshoe route in winter. The 14 km-long La Fuvelle cross-country ski trail is the largest in the surrounding area and is intended for experienced skiers.

Nature

Lac de Saint-Point is the third-largest natural lake in France. A hiking trail for pedestrians, approximately 23 km long, runs around Lac de Saint-Point. There are around four water sports centres around the lake, offering activities such as catamaran sailing, windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, canoeing, kayaking and pedal boating.

Bateaux du Lac Saint-Point offer one-hour narrated round trips. The service also includes a peaceful cruise between the lake’s right and left shores. The beaches of Malbuisson are very easily accessible from the town centre. Plage des Landes is one of the two largest beaches in Malbuisson.

Culture

The Church of Saint-Claude stands on the right bank of Lac de Saint-Point. The present-day church was rebuilt in 1932–1933 according to plans by the architect Mognetti.

Hiking

An 8.3 km-long hike to Fort de Saint-Antoine leads through the forests and meadows of the municipality of Malbuisson. On the hike to Fort de Saint-Antoine, you can stop to discover the local fruitière for Comté cheese.
