Nature and Landscape
From the Village Haut, walkers can see the Bernese Alps. The Étang du Moulin in Bonnétage contains peat bogs. A particularly varied route is the “Village Haut” hike: it leads through coniferous forest and wetlands with peat bogs, past sinkholes and a pond, through green combes, and over rocky ridges.
The Tourbière des Creugnots has a boardwalk that allows visitors to explore this site. Le Gros Crêt, a summit, is also located in the vicinity of Bonnétage. In the wider regional area are the summits of Tablettes and the Roches Blanches mountain. Montagne de Boudry, a mountain, is also located in this wider regional area.
Culture and Regional Specialties
The town hall and cheese dairy, known as the Fruitière de Bonnétage, is part of the industrial heritage of the Doubs department. At the Fruitière de Bonnétage, visitors can discover how Comté is made and learn to taste the cheese according to the season. Visits are possible by reservation; tastings are available.
In Cerneux-Monnot, a church houses a statue of Notre Dame de Lorette, as well as a former presbytery and a former school.
