Nature
The Étang des Granges-Narboz was formed on former peatlands. It is used by anglers and is also important for birds. The Étang des Granges-Narboz and the surrounding peat bogs are part of a Natura 2000 site.
Paths and Routes
The Le Laveron Route No. 93 passes through Granges-Narboz. The Le Fort de Joux Route No. 80 also runs through the village; it is designed as a 22.5-kilometer mountain-biking loop. The Les Granges Dessus Route leads to the hamlet of Granges Dessus, which belongs to the municipality of Granges-Narboz.
Culture and History
The parish church of Sainte-Brigide has a nave from the 17th century, a choir dating from around 1815, and a bell tower from 1867. The Chapelle Notre-Dame stands by the roadside between Granges Dessous and Granges-l’Église. It was built in 1879 by parish priest Frelet and his family.
Agriculture and Regional Products
The Ferme de l’Absinthe is a dairy farm in the Drugeon Valley within a Natura 2000 site. It produces milk and grows wormwood. At the Ferme de l’Absinthe, farm tours and the opportunity to watch milking are available; numerous hiking and mountain-biking routes are also offered.
The Route de l’Absinthe lists the Distillerie Marguet-Champreux in Les Granges-Narboz as a participating distillery.
