The Chapelle-des-Bois Nordic ski area has 14 cross-country ski trails with a total length of 127 kilometres. The GTJ ski route from Chapelle-des-Bois to Bellefontaine is 9 kilometres long.

Nature
The Chapelle-des-Bois trail begins after the village with a marshland landscape. Lac des Mortes is surrounded by marshes and can be explored via hiking and mountain-biking trails.

The Écomusée Maison Michaud is a farm typical of the Haut-Doubs, with a tuyé dating from the 17th century, in the Combe des Cives at an altitude of over 1,000 metres. The Écomusée Maison Michaud shows how the inhabitants of the Jura mountains adapted their activities to a harsh climate and used the resources of the mountains.
The Combe des Cives thematic trail begins at the Écomusée Maison Michaud. On seven information panels, the thematic trail recounts the Battle of the Combe des Cives; it also leads to strategic ambush sites, as well as to clues and eyewitness accounts concerning these confrontations. Route Ecomusée – Combe des Cives No. 21 combines a combe, forest and mountain pastures with a visit to the Écomusée Maison Michaud.
The Roche Champion cliff marks the edge of the Risoux massif and separates Switzerland from France; a Catholic cross on it commemorates the region's historic religious division.
The Fromagerie de Chapelle-des-Bois continues to uphold the local tradition of the “coulée”: producers bring their milk to the cheese dairy themselves every morning and evening. The Fromagerie biologique de Chapelle des Bois welcomes visitors for tours and tastings, where they can learn about the production stages of Comté, Morbier and other products.
A new Fromagerie de Chapelle-des-Bois was built around 1929 south of the first chalet, which has since been destroyed. Previously, there were four cooperative cheese dairies in the village, in La Norbière, in the Combe-des-Cives and near Les Mortes.
