The signposted “Fil rouge” discovery trail runs through Uffholtz and includes 29 marked points with explanations about the remains and history of the village. The “Coteaux du Vieil-Armand” wine trail begins at Place Aloyse-Claussmann in the centre of Uffholtz and is 5 km long.

Culture and History

The Abri Mémoire has two exhibition halls, a documentation centre, a conference room and an artists’ residency. Its cultural programme includes concerts, performances and theatre. In summer 2010, the Abri Mémoire in Uffholtz was renovated, renamed and opened to the public. It serves as a resource centre for arts education and education about civic responsibility and peace.

The present-day Saint-Erasme parish church in Uffholtz was built between 1924 and 1927 on the site of the 1825 church, which was destroyed during the First World War. The present-day Saint-Antoine Chapel was consecrated in 1958. It stands on the outskirts of Uffholtz, on a slope near the road to Hartmannswillerkopf.

Uffholtz has a winemaking tradition connected with the vineyards on Coteau Saint-Antoine. The Saint-Antoine tradition revived in Uffholtz includes a night-time procession through the vineyards to the chapel.
