Landscape
Oderen is a mid-mountain municipality with just under 2,000 hectares of municipal land, half of which is forested. A panoramic trail created by the municipality of Oderen and village volunteers offers views of the valley and the landscapes of the upper Thur. At Étang du Maerel, anglers and tourists can relax in a natural setting.

Culture
The Saint-Nicolas Church, dedicated to Saint Nicholas, overlooks the village of Oderen from a rocky island. The present church was consecrated on 27 April 1786 by the Prince of Roggenbach, Bishop of Basel, and is the fourth church built on the same hill. The Notre Dame du Bon Secours Chapel dates back to the 17th century and is also known as Maria Hilf. It is very well known for its pilgrimages. The Bredalamark is one of the most important seasonal festivals in Oderen.
