Culture and History
The Protestant church in Stosswihr was rebuilt from 1924 onward according to plans by Strasbourg architects Robert Voelckel and Charles Wolff and was inaugurated on August 8, 1926. Its foundation is made of pink sandstone; the church stands on a terrace accessible via straight stairways.
The Ambulance alpine 2/75, also known as Ambulance alpine 306, is a rare testament to medical care in the mountains during the First World War. The facility comprises ten small, partly underground treatment and operating rooms on the northern slope of the hill.
The Germania French military cemetery in Stosswihr is one of the ten Alsatian First World War memorial sites added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2023.
