A cross-country skiing route leads from the Vysočina Arena via Vlachovice and Sykovec. At the “Sedlo” signpost near the Yukon settlement, a trail branches off to Rokytno and Penzion U Martina; it is groomed for both classic skiing and skating.

Blue- and green-marked hiking trails pass through Vlachovice. A less important cycle path connects Fryšava, Medlovský rybník and Sykovec pond.

Vlachovice lies at an elevation of 754 meters. Part of the village is located in the Žďárské vrchy Protected Landscape Area. There, Vlachovice is considered a typical mountain village; together with Rokytno, it belongs to the municipalities at the second-highest elevation.
The Bobrůvka rises in the territory of Vlachovice u Rokytna in the Žďárské vrchy at an elevation of 725 meters. In Vlachovice, Bílá skála is designated as a lookout point at 776 meters. Northwest of the village lies the 776-meter-high elevation Tři smrky, directly on the European watershed between the Elbe and Danube drainage basins. Tři smrky offers a panoramic view; in good visibility, Kralický Sněžník can also be seen.
History and Regional Character
Vlachovice was founded before 1496 in the domain of Nové Město. Part of the village contains an area with archaeological finds. Vlachovice is also located in a region of folk architecture known as “HORÁCKÝ DŮM”.
