Ústup: Hotels and Accommodation
Ústup is located in the northwest of the South Moravian Region, beneath the peaks of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. About 1 kilometre north of the village, there is a lookout tower on Zelenkův kopec. It is 7 metres high; its construction and opening took place at the end of 2006. From there, views extend over the Žďárské vrchy and the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, and in good visibility as far as the Hrubý Jeseník and the Orlické Mountains.
Sacred Sites and Village Character
Among the notable sacred monuments in Ústup are the Boží muka, a small brick religious monument with stone reliefs dating from 1805. The reliefs depict the Great Calvary, the Nativity of Christ, the Last Judgement, the Baptism of Christ and the Holy Trinity.
A chapel in Ústup was consecrated to the Holy Spirit in 2006. On its side wall is a sculpture of the Holy Spirit created by the artist Karel Ševčík. A parish pilgrimage service is also held in Ústup during the Feast of Pentecost.
The village character is shaped by older farmsteads along the village green. Some houses display features of folk architecture, including log buildings.
