Makov: Hotels and Accommodation

Landscape and Views

Part of Makov’s cadastral area is included in the Halasovo Kunštátsko Nature Park. The nature park was established in 1980 and amended in 1994.

Křivánčí vrch near Makov is an excursion hill offering panoramic views of the surrounding area. In clear weather, Praděd, the Drahanská vrchovina highlands and the Kojál transmitter can also be seen from there.

Kuliška is a mountain in the vicinity of Makov. The mountains of Sýkoř, Babylon and Střela are also located in the surrounding area.

Culture

The Chapel of the Holy Trinity in Makov dates from 1857 and is designated as a cultural monument. The Makov Chapel bears the title “Roof of the Year 1997”.

The monument Pomník obětem 1. a 2. světové války is located in the wider regional surroundings of Makov. Zámek Veveří is a castle there; Kaple Panny Marie and Kaple Božského srdce are each classified there as chapels.
