Svojanov: Hotels and Accommodation
Svojanov is defined by Svojanov Castle, one of the oldest royal castles in the Czech Republic. The surrounding area also combines historic sites with clearly marked educational trails and paths through the valley of the Kavinský stream.
Culture and History
The Church of St. Peter and Paul stands on a hill above Svojanov and was completed in 1788. Since 2019, commemorative plaques honouring important personalities from Svojanov have been installed and ceremonially unveiled along the “Children of the Lion” memorial trail in Svojanov Square.
Above the settlement of Korýtka stands the historic stone monument Boží muka. It is located on the path to Svojanov Castle via Mount Pupek.
Nature and Trails
The “Naučná stezka údolím Kavinského potoka” educational trail runs along cascades on the Kavinský stream through a protected area and is 2.5 km long. A route in the valley of the Kavinský stream passes travertine formations and small waterfalls.
The “Kolem Svojanova” educational trail is 6.5 km long and starts at the town hall. The “Masarykova cesta na hrad” educational trail follows the route taken by T. G. Masaryk on horseback to Svojanov Castle and offers views of Svojanov Castle and the valley of the settlement.

The wider regional surroundings of Svojanov include the Drašarov, Kočíko, Librův Kopec and Kuliška mountains. The chapels of Kaple Panny Marie, Kaple Božského srdce and Kaple Panny Marie Lurdské are also located in this wider regional area.
