Okrouhlo lies on the edge of the Střed Čech Nature Park. The Zahořanský stream, a natural area of significant value with many tributaries, flows through the area.

Nature
Numerous protected animal species live in the wooded Zahořanské Valley. Traces of medieval gold mining can also be found around the Zahořanský stream and in the adjacent side valleys. The stream is classified as a trout waterway.
Hills and Village Character
The 376-metre-high Varta hill rises above the village. Its slopes were formerly cultivated in terraces. The summit, covered with sparse grass and heath, was originally bare and was planted with black pines and mixed forest after 1963. Part of a formerly larger wooden homestead has been preserved in House No. 32.
History
Okrouhlo was first mentioned in 1228 in a document of the Prague Convent of St. George. It recorded that Okrouhlo had belonged for a long time to the Monastery of St. John the Baptist on Ostrov near Davle. From 1919 onwards, tramping cabins were built in the Zahořanské Valley, later developing into named settlements, including Havaj, Orlík and Sedm jezů.
Trails and Events
The blue hiking trail from Libeř to Davle leads via Zahořany and runs along the Zahořanský stream. There are cycling routes in the Zahořanské Valley. A hike through Okrouhlo follows the yellow hiking trail for 5.7 kilometres before joining cycle route 19A at map point 4.
On 9 February, a traditional Masopustní průvod procession took place through the village in Okrouhlo, followed by a Masopust celebration.
