Culture and History
The “Kostel sv. Šimona a Judy” in Arnoštovice was first mentioned in 1350 and is one of the oldest churches in the area. Its unique architectural elements document a combination of High Romanesque and early Gothic rural architectural styles. The tall tower was added to the church in 1732.
Between the settlement of Peklo and the Velký Mastník pond, a memorial stone commemorates the camps of the Pražská Dvojka scouting group from 1930 and 1931.
The wider regional surroundings of Heřmaničky include Konopiště, a castle, as well as the Loreta and Svatý Jan churches.
