Chrást Nad Sázavou: Hotels and Accommodations

In Chrást nad Sázavou, a section of cycle route 19D Posázavská runs from Na Průhonu towards Krhanice. In addition, the Podělusy–Chrást weir is navigable for water sports; it has a boat passage on the right and a fish ladder on the left.

Activities

The Chrást–Týnec cycle path is designated along its entire length for shared use by pedestrians and cyclists. At 1,010 metres, its length is clearly defined.

History

The Church of St. Catherine in Chrást nad Sázavou was originally a Gothic church from the first half of the 14th century. It was rebuilt in 1888–1889, raising the nave and adding a tower.

The monument to the victims of the First World War in Chrást nad Sázavou stands on a hill above the Čerčany–Praha-Braník railway line. It was erected at the initiative of the legionnaire Antonín Štěpán and the local unit of the Czechoslovak Socialist Party. The monument is a granite pylon bearing the inscription “Padlým a zemřelým 1914–1918”.
