Culture
The Park horských vodcov is located in the centre of Nová Lesná. It includes a small pond and wooden sculptures of the older generation of mountain guides. The park complements the ecclesiastical and architectural heritage with a place explicitly connected to the locality, where these two elements mentioned above can be found together.
One of the defining buildings is the Roman Catholic Church – Zvestovania Pána. It is originally early Gothic and was built in the second half of the 13th century. On 30 October 1963, it was entered under number 918 in the central register of immovable cultural monuments of Slovakia. Thus, this building combines a medieval date of origin with a precisely documented entry in the Slovak monument register.
Another ecclesiastical landmark is the Evanielický a.v. kostol Church, a Classicist building dating from 1792. The historical character is complemented by the preserved masonry granary Sypanec, which dates from 1873. Votrubova Chata is also located in the vicinity of Nová Lesná and is considered a historic site.
Cultural destinations can also be found beyond the locality, at different regional distances. The Wooden Articular Church in Kežmarok is located in the vicinity of Nová Lesná. Further away in the region are the ruins of Kláštorisko and the Sans-souci Church.
Nature
The immediate surroundings of Nová Lesná are characterised by the mountain Veža. The mountains Slovkovská nos, Malý Kostol and Slavkovský štít are also located nearby. Thus, alongside the named mountains, specific views from the entrance to the locality are also a focus.
Getting around
The Nová Lesná–Hrebienok route is 9.37 km long. It starts in Nová Lesná and ends in Hrebienok. The stated length makes the extent of the connection between the two named points immediately clear. For travelling by train, Nová Lesná railway station provides step-free access to platform 1 from the reference point.
It is also worth comparing the included services and the components of the price: what matters is which services are explicitly included in the price and which appear separately. Before booking, you can also check the rules stated there for changes and cancellations. Compare the specific fields of the offers directly with one another and use the version currently displayed as your reference. This check keeps the location, type of accommodation, occupancy, services, prices, and change and cancellation rules separate from one another.
