Culture
The Protestant church in Štrba dates from 1784. The Roman Catholic Church of Saint Andrew in Štrba dates from 1884. An original Štrba wooden cottage has also been preserved in Štrba—a log-built structure designated as a protected cultural monument.
In addition, the Štrbän folklore ensemble has been active in Štrba for 50 years. Popular poetry festivals have been held in Štrba for 67 years. For the 25th edition of the Deň obce Štrba Community Day, the Municipality of Štrba extended an invitation in cooperation with the URBÁR Štrba land association and the Štrba agricultural cooperative.
History
On the outskirts of the municipality of Štrba lie the remains of the vanished medieval settlement of Šoldov, on a field path toward Važec. Šoldov is an important historical site.
Near Šoldov, there are partially reconstructed buildings of the settlement, a monument, an information board, and a small seating area.
Cycling
A section of the cycle path between Štrba and Lučivná has been completed in Štrba. This section is part of the cross-border Cesta okolo TATIER cycling route.
A railway connection starts directly at the station in Štrba.
