Historic Churches and Art in Fara Vicentino
Fara Vicentino combines historic religious buildings with trails, natural attractions and a wine-growing landscape. The Chiesa parrocchiale di S. Bartolomeo apostolo has a painting by Giacomo da Ponte on the main altar. The painting depicts the Virgin Mary with Saint Lucy and Saint Mary Magdalene. The parish church was owned by the Augustinian monks until 1180. Between 1851 and 1859, the Chiesa parrocchiale di S. Bartolomeo apostolo was rebuilt in the Neoclassical style.
The Chiesa di San Giorgio Martire was probably built around 1250 and was first mentioned in an important document in 1297. Construction of the new Chiesa di San Giorgio Martire began in 1770. The stone, tower-shaped bell tower of the Chiesa di San Giorgio Martire was rebuilt between 1821 and 1828.
The original church of the Oratorio Immacolata e Santi Felice e Fortunato was built around 1480 on the site of a smaller church. This smaller church dated from 1150 and was later destroyed. Ceramic sculptures by the artist are housed in the home of ceramic artist Alessio Tasca in Fara Vicentino.
Trails, Cycling Routes and Horseback Rides through the Landscape and Hills
The Cammino Rigoni Stern route from Vicenza to Asiago passes through Fara Vicentino. The Sentiero Natura di Valle Zaccona leads through forests, meadows, farmland and vineyards to historic local contrade.
Itinerary 2.01 runs through the hills of Fara Vicentino, Breganze and Lugo di Vicenza, as well as along the Astico River and the Chiavone Bianco stream. The route connects the hills with the Astico River and the Chiavone Bianco stream. Cycling routes are among the visitor experiences offered by Transit Farm.

Natural Attractions by the Water and Birdwatching
The area’s waterways extend from the Chiavone stream to the Astico River. The site where the fossil palms of Lonedo were discovered is located along the Chiavone stream. The Selgea Oasis is a natural area near the Astico River, situated on the site of a former gravel quarry. The Selgea Oasis lies on the border with the municipality of Zugliano; it is owned by the municipality of Zugliano.
Ducks and other birds can be observed at the Selgea Oasis. There are also picnic areas and the opportunity to sit by the lakeshore. The picnic areas and lakeside seating complement the observation of ducks and other birds with time spent directly by the water.
Torcolato and the Wine Landscape between Two Valleys
Torcolato is a passito wine that has been known in Fara Vicentino for centuries. A wine route leads from Breganze through Torreselle between the valleys of the Astico and the Chiavone. Torcolato remains associated with Fara Vicentino, while the wine route runs from Breganze through Torreselle between the valleys of the Astico and the Chiavone.
