Winter Sports: Slopes and Cross-Country Trails
The alpine ski slopes of Melette 2000 are located in the municipality of Gallio, about 4.5 km from the town center. The Valle dei Trampolini at Pakstall is about 1 km from the town center and features ski jumping hills, including the K95; international competitions have been held there. The Centro Fondo Campomulo has more than 150 km of trails for Nordic skiing.
Mountain Trails and Landscapes
The mountain trails around Gallio include mule tracks built by soldiers during the First World War and can be explored on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback. The Percorso didattico della Val di Nos leads through woodland paths with information panels and picnic areas. The Percorso ciclo-pedonale della Pace is located near the town center of Gallio.
Near the Santuario della Madonna del Buso lies a narrow canyon carved into the rock by the Frenzela stream. Spitzknotto (Spizegonotto) is a massive altar-shaped boulder in the Stoccareddo area of Val Frenzela. At Melette di Gallio stand monumental, centuries-old beech trees known as “le Puche”; the Cimbrian name means “beech”.
The Valle dei Mulini offers walks along a network of paths passing places of historic and scenic interest. The mills in the Valle dei Mulini processed grain from the Altopiano and powered Pestascorze machines used to produce tanning agents for leather tanning.
Culture, Pilgrimage and Local History
The Sentiero del Silenzio runs through the forest near Campomuletto and commemorates the events of the First World War that shaped the Altopiano di Asiago between 1915 and 1918. The rebuilt Santuario della Madonna del Buso was inaugurated and blessed on 27 May 1927. The Santuario della Madonna del Buso is dedicated to the Madonna del Caravaggio and became a pilgrimage destination, especially on 26 May and 26 July.
The Libr'Albero is a work of art and a reading refuge along the path to Monte Longara in Gallio. It was created from the trunk of a centuries-old spruce that was blown down during Storm Vaia in autumn 2018. The Libr'Albero contains carvings of local wildlife and a small display case with books by Mario Rigoni Stern and other mountain stories.

Le Melette offers four guided e-bike experiences departing from the E-Bike Welcome Desk at Località Melette 1 in Gallio. Le Melette’s e-bike program is led by certified AMI guides and runs across pastures, historic mule tracks and nature trails.
Le Melette’s gourmet tour combines e-bike riding with breakfast at a mountain hut and lunch at an alpine pasture or in a traditional hut, featuring local products from short supply chains. The mountain refuges and alpine huts of Campomulo serve traditional mountain cuisine.
