In Pecol in Val di Zoldo, there are 5 kilometres of illuminated ski runs for night skiing. These include the black Foppe run and the red Cristelin run. As an alternative ski route, the Ski Civetta ski area offers the Giro della Grande Guerra 1915–1918. Palafavera is home to Veneto’s only biathlon facility; the biathlon shooting range in Palafavera has 30 shooting lanes. The Pompeo Fattor cross-country ski trail in Palafavera offers moderately difficult circular trails of 5 and 7.5 kilometres, suitable for athletes and families. The snowshoe route from Pecol to Baita Cristelin is easy, takes two to three hours round trip, reaches an altitude of 1,607 metres and has an elevation gain of 230 metres. In summer, the Civetta lift area is a destination for hikers and mountain bikers.

Landscape and Nature

The Civetta–Cime San Sebastiano Natura 2000 site encompasses the entire area west of Zoldo Alto, as well as montane and subalpine Norway spruce forests of Picea abies. The Monte Pelmo–Monteval, Formin area is characterised by Dolomite formations of outstanding landscape value; the area includes subalpine larch–Swiss stone pine woodland formations. The smaller Sorgenti del Civetta nature area belongs to the territory of Zoldo Alto. Monte Pelmo lies in the territory of Zoldo Alto, northeast of the Maè Valley; Monte Pelmo is a mountain in the surroundings of Zoldo Alto. Val di Goima belongs to the territory of Zoldo Alto; the Civetta wall rises northwest of the valley.
