Walks and mountain trails
The walk to the Cascata di Borca waterfall begins in Borca, crosses the bridge over the Boite and then continues along a forest track through a fir forest. There is an equipped picnic area at the Cascata di Borca. A forest track is a path through woodland and therefore belongs to the category of routes in wooded terrain. Architecture and local culture
The Villaggio Eni in Borca di Cadore was designed by Edoardo Gellner; its construction dates are assigned to the period from 1954 to 1962. The Church of Nostra Signora del Cadore in the Villaggio Eni has exposed concrete façades, a steeply pitched gable roof and a bell tower with a steel spire.
Ladin is still spoken in Borca di Cadore, in its Cadore variety. Ladin is a language rooted in the vernacular form of Latin and a strong symbol of identity. The feast of Saint Anne, the patron saint of the village, is celebrated every July with religious services, music, folk games and traditional dishes such as polenta with pastin and apple fritters. The parish church of Saints Simon and Taddeus in Borca houses a G. Callido organ dating from 1791.
Leisure and winter activities
Happy Park offers an equipped play area with slides, swings, wooden features and seesaws, as well as a small pump track and cycling course for bicycles and mountain bikes. A pump track is a short course for bicycles and mountain bikes. The Lunga Via delle Dolomiti follows the route of the former Dolomites Railway; original stations, tunnels and bridges have been preserved.
