Torra among orchards and expansive views

Torra is one of the hamlets in the Taio–Predaia area that lie among orchards. Orchards are agricultural areas with fruit trees and give the landscape a rural character. From the forecourt of the Pieve di Torra, the view extends across the lower and middle Val di Non; extensive cultivated landscapes, villages, and castles can be seen there. A cultivated landscape comprises areas shaped by people and settlement areas. Villages and castles appear as distinct elements of the visible landscape.

Sentiero Zirò: route and viewpoints

The Sentiero Zirò connects the village of Torra with the hamlet of Zirò and is 1,050 metres long in total. The length of 1,050 metres provides a concrete reference point for planning a walk and can be incorporated into daily itineraries. Along the path, there are several information boards at important points. There are two viewpoints along the Sentiero Zirò: one offers a view of the waterfall of the Rio Panarotta, while another provides a comprehensive view of the lower Val di Non and the Brenta Group. A viewpoint is a place with a particular field of vision. A waterfall is a natural drop of flowing water, while a mountain group comprises several related mountains. Information boards can bring together information and explanations about a place or route along a path.

Walks and mountain bike tours at Pascolo Zirò

The access road to Pascolo Zirò is used in summer and winter for leisurely walks and mountain bike tours. A leisurely walk means travelling on foot without a sporting objective; a mountain bike tour takes place on an off-road-capable bicycle.

Chiesa di Sant’Eusebio eremita

The Chiesa di Sant’Eusebio eremita in Torra is associated with Predaia’s representative architectural heritage. It was an old parish seat and was mentioned in the 13th century. The Romanesque bell tower of the Chiesa di Sant’Eusebio in Torra belongs to the former church. Historically, a parish seat was the seat of a parish. “Romanesque” refers to a period in the art and architectural history of the Middle Ages; a bell tower is a church tower that houses bells. The former ecclesiastical function and the Romanesque bell tower are distinct historical references associated with the Chiesa di Sant’Eusebio eremita.
