Spiazzo: Cultural Trails and Mountain Landscapes at the Foot of the Brenta Dolomites

In Borzago, a district of Spiazzo Rendena, lies the Cort da Togno. It is a courtyard in the first settlement of Spiazzo reached from the south when traveling through Val Rendena. The murals of the Cort da Togno depict proverbs, satire from everyday life, and jokes, often accompanied by inscriptions.

The Museo Guerra Fronte Adamello displays an extensive collection of artifacts. In Spiazzo, visitors can tour a knife manufactory, while Borzago also has craft workshops. In Spiazzo, you can also visit workshops for distillation and the production of gentian liqueur. The processing of wild herbs into food products can also be discovered there.

Themed Trails Featuring Art and Regional History

Via da le Vide is dedicated to wooden sculpture. Via da le Vide begins in Borzago, a district of Spiazzo Rendena, and leads through a forest with centuries-old chestnut trees and dry-stone walls, among which wooden artworks are displayed. Via da le Vide is an easy themed trail accessible to everyone. Salagad'Art is dedicated to art along old mule tracks and to Land Art. Salagad'Art follows a restored old mule track from the town to the hamlet of Teggia di Fisto.

The permanent historical themed trail “Terra di Molèti” runs from the Pieve di Rendena, with the church of San Vigilio, to the historic center of Mortaso. Through artworks and information panels, “Terra di Molèti” tells the story of the emigration of local knife sharpeners. Mountain Trails and Nature Experiences

The official moderate circular hike “Bocchetta del Cannone – Itinerari della Grande Guerra” takes place in the Spiazzo area, reaches an altitude of 2,821 meters, and follows the traces of the First World War. Trenches, fortifications, and military positions can be found along the hike. A trekking route leads from Rifugio Carè Alto to Rifugio Val di Fumo. From Spiazzo, mountain bike tours are also possible on the Dolomiti di Brenta Bike route.

The Casa del Parco Acqua Life visitor center in the municipality of Spiazzo Rendena is dedicated to the fish species of the Sarca River and the protected area. In summer, Spiazzo has a swimming pool with an Olympic-size pool. Spiazzo Rendena can be reached by scheduled buses operated by Trentino Trasporti.
