Location and Mountain Village Character

Vigo Rendena lies partly on the eastern slopes of Corno Basso and partly on the valley floor at the edge of an extensive agricultural area. Vigo Rendena retains the character of a traditional mountain village, with stone houses, wooden hay barns and fountains along the main roads. In 1929, Vigo Rendena was destroyed by a severe fire and almost completely rebuilt.

Churches and Sacred Sites

The Church of San Lorenzo in Vigo Rendena dates back to before 1384. According to tradition, the Capitello delle Quattro Facce in Vigo Rendena was erected in 1348 as a votive offering against the plague and expanded in 1630.
