Tres on Three Hills

Tres is situated on the three hills of Dos, S. Rocco and Mimiela. From Tres, walking and hiking trails lead to mountain huts and alpine summer pastures. Alpine summer pastures are higher-altitude grazing areas used during the warm season. For trails starting in Tres, this seasonal aspect is just as relevant as the specific destination at a mountain hut. Depending on the destination, the focus is therefore either on a mountain hut or on a summer pasture used seasonally.

Hike to Corno di Tres

The hike to Corno di Tres begins at Rifugio Predaia and leads to the summit of Corno di Tres. It follows a section of the Sentiero Italia. From the summit, the 360-degree panoramic view extends in all directions and across both valleys. A 360-degree panoramic view means an unobstructed view all around; at Corno di Tres, it includes both valleys. The section of the Sentiero Italia runs between Rifugio Predaia and Corno di Tres.

Sores Park: Courses, Pond and Waterfalls

Sores Park is located in Predaia, in the Tres district of the municipality of Predaia. Sores Park includes a pond with a bridge and several waterfalls. It also offers courses measuring 1.5 kilometres in length. The courses at Sores Park are suitable for visitors aged three and over and at least one metre tall. The length refers to the courses; the age and height requirements also apply to this offering. The pond, bridge and waterfalls are additional features of the park grounds.

Church of Sant’Agnese and Traces of History

The old Church of Sant’Agnese in Tres has been documented since 1307 and was rebuilt in 1476. The interior paintings of the old church date from 1476 and are the work of Giovanni and Battista Baschenis. Traditional festivals dedicated to Sant’Agnese and San Rocco are celebrated in Tres. At the Laget di Predaia archaeological site in Tres, worked stone tools and retouched artefacts were discovered in April 2010. The year 1476 refers to both the rebuilding and the interior paintings of Sant’Agnese.

Prà del Lac and the Lake

The parish church in Tres is surrounded by the large green Prà del Lac park. After renovation in the 1990s, the area around the lake was equipped with picnic facilities. Above Tres, there is also a motorhome parking area in an extensive park with play facilities and fire pits for picnics. A motorhome parking area is a designated site for motorhomes. Prà del Lac is therefore located around the church and lake, while the park at the motorhome parking area above Tres includes play facilities and fire pits. For an outdoor break, picnic facilities are available by the lake, while fire pits for picnics can be found above Tres.
