Nordic skiing in Lago

The Centro del Fondo e del Biathlon Fabio Canal is located in the village of Lago, in the municipality of Tesero, in Val di Fiemme and in the Autonomous Province of Trento. It was built in the 1990s for the Nordic skiing World Championships. Cross-country skiing and biathlon are among the different disciplines of Nordic skiing.

The “Lago” trail is located at the Centro Fondo Lago di Tesero. The trail is 3.5 km long, challenging and classified as a black trail. A cross-country ski trail is a route intended for cross-country skiing; the black classification indicates a challenging level of difficulty. When choosing a route by length and level, two specific points of reference are central for this trail: its length and difficulty level.

Stadium and practical information

The Stadio del Fondo in Lago di Tesero can be reached directly by car from Cavalese and Predazzo via the SP 232 valley road. Numerous parking spaces are available near the trails. Lifts lead to the competition area and the grandstands. Designated parking spaces for visitors with disabilities are also available at the stadium.

Biathlon combines cross-country skiing and shooting. During the guided tour of the stadium, visitors can aim a laser at a biathlon target. This gives the stadium tour a direct connection to this winter sports discipline.

Natural surroundings, cycle path and water

The Lago (Tesero) protected area is located along the banks of the Torrente Avisio in the village of Lago di Tesero. The protected area encompasses the river section of the Torrente Avisio between the confluence with the Rio Lagorai and the road bridge to the Lago hamlet. The riverside vegetation mainly consists of alder and willow trees. A riverside area refers to the landscape immediately adjacent to a body of water.

The yellow Easy Bike Ring crosses the Avisio River and leads to the small lake of Lago di Tesero. The yellow Easy Bike Ring then continues through meadows along the Dolomites Cycle Route to Masi di Cavalese. The route therefore includes the river crossing, the small lake, meadows and the onward route to Masi di Cavalese.

Avisio Rafting is based at the small lake in Lago di Tesero. Avisio Rafting offers descents on the Avisio River by inflatable boat or canoe. Inflatable boat and canoe represent different forms of river descent.

Fishing and ice skating in Lago di Tesero

The Lago di Tesero PS fishing route is 0.4 km long and has 6 m of ascent and 6 m of descent. Ascent and descent refer to the metres of elevation to be covered uphill and downhill, respectively.

Pattinaggio all'aperto Lago di Tesero is an outdoor ice-skating facility.
