Landscape and cross-country skiing

Malosco lies on a sloping plateau on the left bank of the Sas stream. A plateau is an elevated, level landform; the word sloping describes a course that is not completely flat. To the north, the woods and meadows of Dasine border Malosco. In the Regole area north of Malosco, there are up to 11 km of cross-country ski trails, depending on snow conditions. The phrase up to indicates a possible upper limit, not a fixed daily length. Cross-country skiing is a winter sport in which you move across snow on narrow skis; a cross-country ski trail is a route created for this purpose.

Culture in the village

The futuristic artist Fortunato Depero, one of the leading representatives of the Futurist movement, was born in Malosco in 1892. Futurism is understood as an artistic movement of modernity. Casa Nesler features a fresco and the coat of arms of the Guarienti family dating from 1576. A fresco is a wall painting on fresh plaster; a coat of arms serves as a heraldic symbol of a family. The parish church of S. Tecla in Malosco dates back to 1228. Castel Malosco is located at the entrance to Malosco. The chapel serving as a memorial to the war dead in the nearby cemetery is decorated with graffiti by Wenter-Marini as well as other decorations.

Educational trail and walking paths

Il Bosco Certificato is an educational trail that climbs from Fondo to the village of Regole di Malosco. An educational trail conveys knowledge at stations along a route. Along the Il Bosco Certificato educational trail, there are 16 informative stops explaining the ecological and scientific principles of the sustainable use of forests in Trentino. Il Bosco Certificato is part of the network of forest educational trails promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento. A forest educational trail provides knowledge about forests and their use directly along the route.

The Predela and Ogià walking path can be followed from Malosco. The Chiaset-Dasine walking path is one of the green routes accessible on foot from Malosco. A walking path is a route intended for use on foot.

Alta Val di Non cycle path

The Alta Val di Non cycle path is mostly flat on its western side, while the eastern section has more uphill stretches. Uphill stretches are sections of terrain that rise.

Malga di Malosco and Monte Penegal

Malga di Malosco is about a 40-minute walk from the village of Regole di Malosco. From Malga di Malosco, a path leads in a further 40 minutes to the scenic summit of Monte Penegal. Lunch and merenda are available at Malga di Malosco; dinner is possible by reservation. Merenda is the Italian term for a snack between meals.
