Rodenegg Castle and the Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary
Rodenegg Castle is open for guided tours from 1 May to 30 September 2026. Tours take place daily except Saturdays at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. No advance registration is required. This means that visits to the castle can be planned at two fixed times each day during this period. The first tour begins in the late morning, the second in the early afternoon.

The Parish Church of the Assumption of Mary in Rodeneck also preserves traces of history. The gravestones of various Wolkenstein family members, the Lords of Line from the 14th century and Caspar von Gufidaun, the custodian who died in 1458, recall the history and the connection with Rodenegg Castle.
Creation Trail and Forest Adventure Trail
The Creation Trail can be reached from Rodeneck, is 6.4 kilometres long and ends at the chapel at Pianer Kreuz. The biblical story of creation is illustrated at eight stations; art installations along the Creation Trail also take up this theme. The trail therefore combines a longer route with a clearly structured sequence of religious and artistic stations.
The Forest Adventure Trail in Rodeneck is a family-friendly circular route. It starts at the Ahner bus stop and takes about 40 minutes. The duration is stated as “about” and therefore remains a guideline for planning your own visit.
The Rodeneck-Lüsner Alpine Pasture
The Rodeneck-Lüsner Alpine Pasture is located in the Eisack Valley. It covers 20 km² and lies at an altitude between 1,500 and 2,200 metres. The altitude indicates a range within the alpine pasture area, not the incline of a single trail.
In summer, the hiking trails on the Rodeneck-Lüsner Alpine Pasture are suitable for everyone, including families with small children.
