Art and history in the village centre
The Plaus Dance of Death has been located on the cemetery wall of the Romanesque Church of St Ulrich in the centre of Plaus since 2001. The artwork comprises 18 panels and is 36 m long in total. Guided tours and explanations of the Plaus Dance of Death are available by prior arrangement. For a visit to the cultural attractions in the village centre, the arranged tour can be scheduled as a separate item on the programme. The Church of St Ulrich also contains two Baroque paintings by the Vinschgau artist Simon Ybertracher (1694–1772).
