Stazzona: Churches, Palaces and Mountain Landscape

Stazzona includes a village center with sacred buildings. Several palaces, mountain peaks and a mountain are located in the surrounding area. The village thus combines a settlement center with churches above the settlement and on a rocky ridge, as well as with mountains in the surrounding area.

The parish church of Sant'Abbondio is located in the center of the settlement. Above Stazzona, the church of Madonna della Neve stands in a wooded area. Madonna della Neve and its ceiling fresco

The church of Madonna della Neve has a vaulted ceiling. In 1774, Lorenzo Piccioli painted it with a depiction of the Assumption of Mary.
