Discover Altersbach
Accommodation in Altersbach
Explore Altersbach via specific waypoints: The circular route around the village starts at Altersbach station, where parking is available. It climbs gently to the Geißkoppe and passes three numbered benches along the edge of the forest. The charcoal-burning site has a small open-air stage.
Walking routes and navigation in Altersbach
On the circular route, after the Geißkoppe come Bench No. 4 and the bench beneath the chestnut tree, which is designated as No. 5. The path continues to Bench No. 6, which offers a beautiful view.
This is distinct from the approximately 5-kilometre circular route around the Arzberg. It connects Steinbach-Hallenberg with the district of Altersbach. Its approximate length and the connection between the two places make this route a different point of reference from the circular route around Altersbach: the Geißkoppe and the numbered benches are part of the description of the local circular route, not automatically of the Arzberg loop.
The charcoal-burning site is another distinct point of interest in Altersbach. It has a small open-air stage.
