Horbruch: Hotels and Accommodation

Horbruch is the starting point for the 15.5-kilometre premium hiking trail Via Molarum. The route passes through Horbruch, Hirschfeld, Wahlenau and Krummenau, connecting fields, stretches of forest, expansive views and meadow valleys. On the outskirts of Horbruch, the Antoniusstraße, dating back to Roman times, runs as a long-distance hiking trail from the Rhine to the Moselle. Pilgrims can obtain a stamp for their pilgrim passport at the Historische Schlossmühle in Horbruch.

The area surrounding Horbruch also includes Baldenau Castle, Hellkirch Ruins, Altburg Ruins and Schmitburg Ruins.

In the immediate vicinity, around three kilometres from Horbruch, a temple from the Celtic period was expanded by the Romans into a place of worship in the 2nd century AD. Finds include altars and almost life-size statues of Sirona and Apollo; further finds are on display at the Landesmuseum Trier.
