Auwaldsee lake is another of the natural attractions described for the area: it is considered suitable for walking in summer and winter as well as for fishing. A circular trail approximately one kilometre long leads around the lake.

The history of the area is also documented from an early period: a deed of exchange from the year 906 mentions Fischen under the name “Fiskinga”.
