Winter Sports for Different Experience Levels
The Valmorel ski area offers four specially designed, safe practice areas with progressively structured levels for ski beginners and families. Another option for children, parents and ski beginners is the Chemin Pirates: the easy course is located at the mountain station of the Pierrafort gondola and was expressly designed for these groups.
Activities for Families and Children
Snow tubing is one of the activities in Valmorel that does not require skis. Participants ride in large tubes on specially prepared tracks. The Beaudin conveyor belt brings them back up effortlessly for repeated runs. Snow tubing is possible in summer and year-round and is suitable for children and adults.
Valmo'Branch offers five adventure courses for people aged between three and 77. There are also ten zip lines, two Tarzan jumps and a via ferrata route at heights of one to twelve metres. A treasure hunt is aimed at children aged three to twelve. The Okapi Leisure Park in Valmorel offers trampolines, inflatable attractions and the Accro Benji activity; three facilities are reserved for children under six. In addition, the Valmo'Bourricot mini-farm provides encounters with chickens, geese, ducks, rabbits, goats and sheep, as well as insights into their way of life in the mountain environment. Visitors can also watch a jenny being milked and learn about the properties of donkey's milk.
