Hiking and nature
Pralognan-la-Vanoise is the main gateway to the Vanoise National Park. Just under 70 percent of the area lies within this national park.
The Tour des Glaciers de la Vanoise is a hike that begins in Pralognan-la-Vanoise. It is 73 kilometres long and involves 3,800 metres of ascent.
The hike to Lac des Vaches and Col de la Vanoise begins at Fontanettes. It is 12.5 kilometres long and takes approximately 5 hours and 30 minutes there and back.
The Via ferrata de la Cascade de la Fraîche is located near the village centre. Experienced people can tackle it independently or with a guide.
Culture and village character
The Maison du Parc national de la Vanoise is located in the heart of the village of Pralognan-la-Vanoise and is open to the public in summer and winter.
The Parcours patrimoine is a circular route with 10 stages through the history and authenticity of Pralognan-la-Vanoise. The 2-kilometre circular route is open year-round.
The village character is defined by traditional hamlets, stone and wooden chalets, and typical roofs made of slate and wooden shingles.
La Chèvrerie de Chavière sells local products directly from the farm, as well as at the market on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
