Nature

Les Karellis is situated amid a larch forest and borders Lac de Pramol; a hike there begins at the tourist office and follows signposted trail no. 5. The Gros Mélèze above Albannette on the way to Pain de Sucre is over 500 years old and is considered Europe's largest larch tree.

In the immediate vicinity of Montricher-Albanne are Fort du Télégraphe, a fort, and the peaks of Tête d'Albiez-le-Vieux and Croix des Têtes. The surrounding area also includes Pointe d'Émy and le Pic du Génie, both peaks.

Culture

The Sentier botanique de Montricher-Albanne features interactive botanical panels and playful installations. In the multipurpose hall in Montricher, a mural tells the story of slate mining. Traces of the entrances to the slate mines are still visible between Les Resses and Le Bochet.

The “Sentier des Ardoisiers” hiking trail was restored by the Communauté de communes Cœur de Maurienne. Guided tours are offered at the Ecomusée Les Karellis.
