Hiking

The Lac et Alpage du Mariet hike begins and ends at the Montagny car park in Arith. A gentle hike to the Etang du Mariet is possible at any time of year. Its basin is a limestone syncline hollow filled with glacial moraine material. Access to the Etang du Mariet leads from the village of Arith through the hamlet of Montagny to the Gréson car park.

On the Tour des Bauges, stage 2 starts at the Gîte de la Fruitière d'Arith in Montagny, Arith. The Tour des Bauges reaches Arith on the first day and leads from Arith to Bellecombe-en-Bauges on the second day. It is signposted with yellow-and-red GRP markings and directional signposts.

Nature

At the Grotte de Prérouge, only the entrance itself is accessible independently; the interior is reserved for cavers with the appropriate equipment.

Culture

Moulin Morand is an authentic oil mill dating from 1896. It operates with a hydraulic water wheel powered by the Nant de St François. Moulin Morand can be visited all year round; oil can also be purchased there throughout the year.
