Culture

Nature

The Arc is a non-state first-category river with brown trout and offers opportunities for recreational fishing.

Geographical location

The Forts of Esseillon can be reached by car all year round via the RD1006; there is a car park in front of the Redoute Marie-Thérèse. They can also be reached via Avrieux and the Cascade Saint-Benoît along the former road between Avrieux and Aussois.

Nearby Aussois is home to a limestone cliff at the Marie-Christine site, with a variety of climbing routes.
