Culture

The former château at Clos des Capucins was converted into a Capuchin monastery. At the beginning of the 17th century, Clos des Capucins was known as Château du Cizerin.

The Charlaix bread oven was acquired and renovated by the municipality in 1989. Every year in June, communal bread baking takes place there on the morning of Saint John’s Day.

Nature

Parc des Étangs is the 5-hectare public part of the Maupertuis estate. It has observation points and facilities for wildlife. Rare species grow in the park, including oriental plane trees, a giant sequoia, and a giant California cedar.
