Culture
Near Méaudre lies the Chartreuse Notre-Dame des Écouges, a monastery. The Fort de Comboire, a fort, is also located nearby. In the wider regional area around Méaudre are two museums that have since closed: the Artothèque de la Bibliothèque Grand'Place de Grenoble, which is closed and is a museum; and the Galerie de prêt de la Maison de la Culture de Grenoble, which is also closed and is a museum.
The ViaVercors route between Méaudre and Autrans can be traveled via the hamlet of Le Bouchet as a 15.4 km circular route or as an out-and-back route. Méaudre’s downhill mountain biking area offers trails accessible via the Gonçon chairlift.
The section of the ViaVercors between Méaudre and Autrans leads from the Méaudret gorges into an open, wooded valley with numerous hamlets and houses with shingle-clad gables. Roche de Méaudre, Mont de Meillarot, and Sommet de Roche-Chalve are peaks in the immediate vicinity of Méaudre. Grande Roche de Saint-Michel is a peak in the area around Méaudre.
Cuisine
At La Ferme des Prés Lauzés, visitors can see the animals in the Méaudre pastures year-round; visits are possible by telephone reservation only. The farm offers tastings of beef, pork, and cured meats and sells meat and cured meats directly from the farm.
