Culture and History

The Church of Saint Bernard is part of the village's history. It was built in 1846–1847 on the remains of a Romanesque church and features a 13th-century bell tower base as well as a 15th-century comital chapel.

Lake and Nature

Menthon-Saint-Bernard has one kilometre of publicly accessible shoreline for walks and lake activities such as beach visits, sailing, diving and boat hire. The bay of Menthon-Saint-Bernard is located by the Roc de Chère nature reserve.

Water Activities

At the Menthon-Saint-Bernard water sports centre, Delphis plongée offers introductory dives and training for all levels. From June to September, the swimming school on Menthon-Saint-Bernard beach offers 30-minute individual or group lessons in the morning for children aged three and over, as well as lessons to improve swimming skills.

The Cercle Nautique du Lanfonnet offers recreational sailing with catamarans as well as single- or crewed dinghies, and hires out kayaks and stand-up paddleboards. At the Port de Menthon, Le Bounty hires out boats and pedal boats.

Hiking

The “Château de Menthon-St-Bernard par les hameaux” hiking trail passes through the hamlets of Ramponnet and Les Moulins and by the Château de Menthon. It is accessible year-round on foot or by mountain bike.
