Les Carroz can be reached via the A40 motorway and the Cluses exit.
Routes and Activities
The “Disparition à la Mine” themed trail is 4 km long and features murals and puzzles. The investigation along this themed trail begins in the hamlet of Pas à l’Âne, a 15-minute walk from the village centre, and continues to the hamlet of La Colonnaz and its small chapel.
The Alpage et Lac de l’Airon hike begins at the cable car’s mountain station. It is an easy family hike lasting 30 to 45 minutes for all age groups and offers views of the Aravis Massif. At the mountain farm reached by this route, visitors can eat at the restaurant, fish for trout and buy cheese directly from the farm.
Les Carroz Bike Park has seven downhill runs with a total length of more than 14 kilometres.
The “Luge sur rail 4 saisons” in Les Carroz is accessible from the age of 4 and a height of 1.05 m when accompanied by an adult, and from the age of 9 and a height of 1.40 m alone or as a companion.
Culture
The Chapelle ronde de Ballancy was built in 1839 and repaired in 1984. The Eglise de la Frasse dates from 1787 and was consecrated in 1827. The Chapelle de Ballancy, the oratory and the Eglise de la Frasse served as stops during the Rogation ceremonies.
