Winter and Mountain Sports
In winter, the walk to Lac Bénit can be done as a snowshoe hike from the Morsullaz chairlift. The Piste de luge de l'éterlou is a toboggan run for children at the foot of the Mont-Saxonnex ski slopes.
The Via ferrata de la Gorge du Cé offers two routes rated AD and D, with walkways, suspension bridges, hidden caves and optional zip lines. The Gorge du Cé climbing area in Mont-Saxonnex has 29 limestone routes graded from 5c to 8b.
Landscape and Trails
The Plateau de Cenise is a mountain hiking area used by hikers and walkers. The hike to the Col de Cenise is a signposted out-and-back route covering 3.6 kilometres with 151 metres of elevation gain and a stated duration of 1 hour and 5 minutes. The route to the Col de Cenise offers unobstructed views of the Bargy mountain range and the Arve Valley.
The Rochers de Leschaux circular hike starts in Mont-Saxonnex and covers 11.7 kilometres with 685 metres of elevation gain.
Nature
A pair of bearded vultures has lived in Mont-Saxonnex since 1988/89; visitors can take part in the observation and population monitoring coordinated by Asters. Lac Bénit is a glacial lake in the Bargy mountain range, in a Natura 2000 site; its endemic fauna includes, among others, alpine newts, grass frogs, toads and salamanders.
The Oratoire de la Gouille can be reached from the outskirts of Mont-Saxonnex via a roughly paved path that follows the Torrent du Bronze. La Pellaz is a route accessible to everyone that follows the Torrent du Bronze in both summer and winter.
