Col du Corbier is a mountain station located at an altitude of 1,230 metres in the municipality of Le Biot, between the Vallée d'Aulps and the Vallée d'Abondance.

If Le Biot is to be your place of stay, finding a hotel is part of planning your accommodation.

Nature and Hiking

The Tour du Mont Ouzon hike begins at the car park at Col du Corbier. It offers panoramic views of the Vallée d'Aulps and Lac Léman.

The Pointe du Mont circular hike requires some effort and includes steep sections in several places. In clear weather, Mont Blanc can be seen during the final ascent.

Alpage d'Ouzon can be reached on foot from Col du Corbier in about an hour via an easy path. At Alpage d'Ouzon, the Ferme d'Ouzon operates a dairy farm with Abondance cattle; the animals are on the alpine pasture from June to October.

There is a free car park in front of Le Biot town hall for the hike to Alpage de l'Haut-Thex. The Navette Balad'Aulps bus stops in front of the village hall. The hike to Alpage de l'Haut-Thex offers views over the Vallée d'Aulps and of Mont Blanc.

Alpine Pastures and Regional Products

Alpage d'Etelly can be reached from Le Biot via the Chemin de Thex. From there, there are views of Lac Léman, Mont Blanc, the Vallée d'Aulps and the Vallée d'Abondance.

Culture and History

The Chapelle de Gys was founded in 1653 and rebuilt in 1864.

From 2009 to 2012, the Chapelle de Gys was extensively renovated and fitted with new works of art, including a mosaic by Claude MARIN and modern stained-glass windows by Joëlle VULLIEZ-MATRINGE.

The Halle du Biot still stands in the village centre today and is a reminder of the former importance of fairs and markets to the valley.
