Culture and History

Clearly visible remains of the fortifications can still be found on Rue Basse. The Chapelle Notre-Dame du Pont has been protected as a Monument historique by a registration order dated March 30, 1978. The Fontaine au Dauphin dates from 1713 and has been protected as a Monument historique since July 13, 1926.

Getting Around the Village

The water-themed trail created by the municipality leads to the numerous fountains in the village of Mollans-sur-Ouvèze. A market is held every Saturday morning throughout the year at Place Banche de Cour; in July and August, there is musical entertainment. Mollans-sur-Ouvèze also has stops for bus services to Vaison-la-Romaine and Nyons.

The former Chapelle des Pénitents currently serves as an exhibition space. Les Peintres dans la Rue has brought Mollans-sur-Ouvèze to life for more than 40 years; on the fourth weekend of July, painters, sculptors, and experienced photographers display their works in a festive atmosphere.
