Activities

Le Saut du Laïre is a family-friendly hiking route from the well-preserved hamlet of Prapic to a waterfall at an altitude of 1,886 m. Another hike, Le Monde des 6 Lacs, leads from the summit of Drouvet across high plateaus and high-altitude lakes; along the way, there are 17 unique installations.

The Roll Air Câble zip line is 1.8 km long and runs from the summit of Drouvet at an altitude of 2,650 m to Lac Long at an altitude of 2,500 m. The O2 Area leisure complex in Orcières has a swimming pond and another pond for water activities.

Culture and history

The Sainte-Anne festival in Prapic has been celebrated for generations in the chapel of Prapic and takes place every Sunday after July 26. The Sainte-Anne Church in Prapic was rebuilt by the residents in 1880 after a fire in 1867.

The Musée de la Casse in Prapic opened in 1987. It presents rural life in the past through folk art and traditions, everyday objects, and former crafts. Prapic also has fountains with spouts shaped like animal heads, as well as basins called “bachats” that were used as washplaces and watering troughs for livestock.

Local character

Luc Marchand offers honey harvested in Orcières, as well as an opportunity to taste it.
