Auron: Hotels and Accommodation

The Auron ski resort has 135 kilometres of pistes and extends across four sectors: Las Donnas, Sauma Longue, Demandols and Lieuson. It also includes snow parks for children and beginners.

Nature

The Cime de la Bercha offers extensive views of the Parc National du Mercantour. The route there passes through larch forests with great botanical diversity. The hike to the Cime de la Bercha takes four hours there and back and involves an elevation gain/loss of plus or minus 628 metres.

Les Balcons d’Auron is a 2.5-kilometre circular route with ten interpretation stations. The Les Balcons d’Auron viewpoint can be reached via the Puy d’Auron.

Culture

The Chapelle Saint Erige was built in the 13th century or during the first half of the 14th century. It has been a place of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages.

Guided tours of the Chapelle Saint Erige are offered on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 4:30 p.m. from 5 July to 26 August 2026. Registration is through the Office de Tourisme d’Auron, the contribution is voluntary and the meeting point is at the chapel. Outside the season, visits are possible on request through the tourist office.

Other activities

The Auron Mountain Golf on the Plateau de Chastellarès has a compact nine-hole course with free access. The Auron Boot Camp is an obstacle course in the forest.
