Nature
The Adret de Pra Gazé area, designated as a Natura 2000 site, lies within the municipality of Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage and covers approximately 100 ha. The Natura 2000 site Chauves-souris de la Haute-Tinée extends over 1,787 ha across the municipalities of Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage and Saint-Etienne-de-Tinée. Fourteen different species of bats are found in this area. Directly above the village, the plant known as “Tête de dragon” blooms at the beginning of summer.
Hiking and Climbing
Numerous hikes start from Bousièyas, including several along the GR5 and GR56. Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage is also a stage on the GR5 long-distance hiking trail and the Grande Traversée du Mercantour. The routes in Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage listed for summer include the Tour du Bois de Ville.

Culture and Military History
The Avant-poste de Saint-Dalmas-le-Selvage is a military fortification of the Maginot Line. The Chapelle Sainte Marguerite is a 15th-century chapel containing frescoes attributed to Baleison and believed to have been created around 1480. The parish church of Saint Dalmas dates from the early 18th century; its Romanesque-style bell tower is dated 1718.
Le Camp des Fourches is a high-altitude military barracks built from 1888 onwards. The restored ruins can be visited individually. Le Camp des Fourches is located on the Route du Col de la Bonette between the Alpes-Maritimes and Alpes-de-Haute-Provence départements.
