Nature

The route to the Lacs de la Cayolle runs through the heart of the Parc national du Mercantour. From the car park at the Col de la Cayolle, it climbs through a grazing valley to the Col de la Petite Cayolle. The route follows a ridge with views of Lac d’Allos and passes along the lakes of Petite Cayolle and the Garrets.

The Tour de la Pierre Eclatée also runs through the heart of the Parc National du Mercantour, in an area inhabited by marmots and chamois, at the foot of Cimet, at 3,020 m, and Pelat, at 3,050 m. In Uvernet-Fours, the wild Bachelard gorges are also among the scenic attractions for visitors.

Hiking

The hike to the Lacs de la Braissette is a 15 km round trip from Bayasse in Uvernet-Fours, takes around 5.5 hours, and is accessible on foot outside the snowy season. It leads to high-altitude lakes at the foot of the ridges bordering the Mercantour.

The Boucle du Bachelard is a short family trail in Uvernet-Fours. There are three possible starting points for it. The trail is accessible to people using a Joëlette and leads to the former Bachelard mill.

Cycling

The Uvernet-Fours Pump Track is a fun mountain biking course with a series of rollers and banked turns. It allows riders of all levels to learn the basics or safely improve their technique.
